Movies, Markets and Investing in India

Happy Monday, wealthy people!

This weekend over drinks by the lake, in a clear blue sky at 10pm, we were celebrating the Swedish midsummer when a friend asked me about Wall Street movies that teach you something about finance.

I took a sip of Prosecco and grinned as the first movie that came to mind was Wolf of Wall Street.

It’s not at all educational, but it’s thoroughly entertaining. Especially this one epic scene where big-time stockbroker Matthew McConaughey takes a newbie DiCaprio to a bar and explains that he now has to snort cocaine and steal from their clients. (It’s a parody, in case it’s not obvious 😉)

Education-wise, my favorite movie is the Big Short, where you get a 360-degree view of every single participant that contributed to the Global Financial Crisis of 2008.

Plus, there’s Ryan Gosling shirtless, what else is there to say? 😊
